Pam was a passenger of Oceanic Flight 815. Her husband was with her in the tail section of the plane and he survived the crash.
After the crash, her husband was heard to speak her name, but she was possibly killed during the crash. Her husband either died before the 5th day or was captured by the Others. (The Other 48 Days transcript)
