Opal was a DHARMA Initiative nurse who assigned incoming Initiative personnel to their jobs during registration on the Island. She assigned Roger Linus the task of being a "Work Man". ("The Man Behind the Curtain") She may have been killed along with other members of the DHARMA Initiative in the Purge, or she may have been evacuated off the island sometime between 1977 and The Purge.
