Podcast Summary • Podcast Transcript

A transcript is a retrospective written record of dialogue, and like a script (a prospective record) may include other scene information such as props or actions. In the case of a transcript of a film or television episode, ideally it is a verbatim record. Because closed-captioning is usually written separately, its text may have errors and does not necessarily reflect the true Canonical transcript.

Transcripts for Lost episodes up to and including "Enter 77" are based on the transcriptions by Lost-TV member Spooky with aid of DVR, and at times, closed captions for clarification. She and Lost-TV have generously granted us permission to share/host these transcripts at Lostpedia. Later transcripts were created by the Lostpedia community, unless stated otherwise below.

Jason: Damon and Carlton, the fish in the beginning of the S5 premiere, it was a red herring. Are you just screwing with us, are you? Would you do that? Really? Or was it something to just throw us all off? Please, let me know. Was it real or was it not.

Damon Lindelof: Wow.

Carlton Cuse: Thank you, Jason. How can he have a name like Jason when he has a white head?

Damon Lindelof: That's Lord Voldemort, that is the question...

Carlton Cuse: Why didn't it say "Lord Voldemort" on the screen there?

Damon Lindelof: The question that must not be asked by he whose name must not be spoken aloud. Look, we are not just screwing with you, Lord Voldemort, because we fear that if you are able to find your Horcruxes...

Carlton Cuse: You will kill us.

Damon Lindelof: You will decimate us all. So let's just leave it at, red herring was a completely arbitrary...

Carlton Cuse: It was not a herring, it was a sardine, okay? You really need to go back and study your fish atlas.

Damon Lindelof: Do you think that Lord Voldemort has to wait on line down at Comic-Con?

Carlton Cuse: No, I don't. I think that's an awesome thing, he probably doesn't have to wait on line on planes either, he probably pre-boards.

Damon Lindelof: Exactly. But they can't call him by name...

Carlton Cuse: The man with no...

Damon Lindelof: He who must not be named, please approach the courtesy desk. He who must not be named, please, we have a seat for your business class.

Carlton Cuse: Upgrade.

Damon Lindelof: Okay, great.
