• It has some connection with the comic book that Walt had with him.
• It does pay to ignore the voice of warning.
  • But the voice of warning said "Do not deceive yourself John Billings! If you had the day to live over, you would go to the airport again!" This could be interpreted as a warning not to follow his own desires, but to check the bridge instead. In that case, John Billings did heed the warning and save the bridge. Therefore, it doesn't pay to ignore the voice of warning.
    • The "voice of warning" referenced on the cover is from a different story in the comic called "A Warning Voice." In that, the voice of warning says "Watch out! Watch out!" and it is listened to by the character, ensuring his survival.
    • On the other hand, this voice is reminiscent of Mrs Hawking reminding Desmond that he can't change fate and if he tries to, the universe will course correct. John Billings did try to change fate and it paid off.
• This may relate to the various warnings heard by the Oceanic 6 to return to the island.
