Monster Eats the Pilot is track number 2 of the untitled, unreleased Drive Shaft comeback album composed by Charlie Pace during his time on the Island.
Inspiration
Monster Eats the Pilot was presumably inspired by the events following the crash of Oceanic Flight 815. On Day 2 on the Island, Charlie Pace was joined by fellow Oceanic Flight 815 survivors Jack Shephard and Kate Austen in a trek into the jungle in an attempt to locate the cockpit and transceiver of Oceanic Flight 815.
After discovering the cockpit wreckage and severely injured pilot, Seth Norris, Charlie, Jack and Kate experienced their first encounter with The Monster. During this encounter, The Monster brutally attacked and killed Seth Norris.
Performances
Charlie performs Monster Eats the Pilot
Charlie played a snippet of the song for fellow Oceanic Flight 815 survivor Claire Littleton and her son Aaron on Day 43 on the Island, while Claire cut his hair. This is the only known performance of Monster Eats the Pilot.
