Based on the current trend of Ubisoft games, it is likely that the LOST videogame will be a first-person (FarCry) or third-person (Ghost Recon) shooter with exploration and puzzle-solving elements, and will use either a current or revised version of the CryENGINE. The FarCry games already have a look and atmosphere very similar to LOST, so it would only make sense for the developers to use some iteration of it. The game will most likely feature characters from the show (with accompanying voice acting from the cast), or it may focus around a different group of characters previously unseen on the show. Chances are it will feature several recognizable settings from the series, as well as new locations designed specifically for the game.

* Just a thought, but before season 2, 2 script pages came online, one about Jack's "twin" being on the island, and the other about zombies attacking Michael and Jin. We've already seen the book "Bad Twin" come out in the "Real World", so the script page could be related to the creation of the book. Could the second "zombie" script page subsequently relate to the game? Half Life has appeared and this is also a zombie based game, to an extent. Zombie genre games are also, almost all of the time, FPS or 3rd person puzzle/action games.

* The game may be structured simaliar to the matrix spin-off game "Enter the Matrix." This means new characters intreracting with the main cast but still having there own storyline. Enter tha matrix aslo features espically for the game movie scenes not scene in the movie linking the backstory and what you dont see together, this may be expolored in the Lost video game.

Revision as of 12:52, 11 August 2006

May 22nd 2006 : Ubisoft announced a long-term worldwide licensing agreement with Touchstone Television to develop and publish a video game based on the television series Lost. Developed by Ubisoft's Montréal studio and scheduled to hit retail shelves worldwide in 2007, the game will be offered for home and portable consoles as well as PCs.

Ubisoft are the owners of The Farcry series of games, and the CryENGINE games engine, which Farcry used. The engine is known for its ability to generate lush jungle enivronments, and has been rumoured to be used for a LOST game for several months. There has been no announcement that Lost : The Videogame will use this engine however.
