Lost: Messages from the Island is a compilation book released by Titan Books. The book is a collection of the "best" segments of Lost: The Official Magazine. The book's introduction was written by Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse. It is slated to be released June 30, 2009. The book will have 176 pages.[1]
Content[]
The book begins with an introduction by Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, who thank those associated with the show before thanking the staff of Lost: The Official Magazine for their efforts.
The main content of the book is information from the first six issues of Lost: The Official Magazine. Season 2 is the only season that is covered by the book. Most of the main cast of the first two seasons are interviewed, as well as many members of the crew, including Damon Lindelof, Kevin Blank, and Larry Fong. Concept art also is featured in the book, including diagrams of the raft and a drawing of the fuselage in which the tail section is also on the beach.
The book ends with acknowledgments from editor Paul Terry, who teases for a later follow-up to the compilation.[2]
