Lindsey Baskum was the intended adoptive mother of Claire Littleton's baby, Aaron. ("What Kate Does")

Mrs. Baskum and her husband were supposed to pick Claire up at LAX airport, but failed to appear, and when Claire arrived at the door of Mrs. Baskum's house on Langdon Street in Brentwood, California, a distraught and teary-eyed Mrs. Baskum explained that her husband had left her and that she would be unable to adopt the baby.

  • The casting call described her as "Jenny. Female, early 30s, any ethnicity. Yuppie, sweet, happy and well off. Never had any problems until she receives heart-breaking news that tears her world apart. While dealing with her personal crisis, she then has to deliver bad news to someone else knowing it will hurt them, too..." [1]
  • Lindsey's first name was not spoken in "What Kate Does", but came from the episode's credits.
  • Lindsey's last name may be an homage to Bascom Hill, the center of the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, which is the alma mater of Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, the writers of "What Kate Does".
  • There is not actually a "Langdon Street" in Brentwood, California. The street may be an homage to Langdon Street in Madison, Wisconsin, which is the center of the Greek fraternity system at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
    • Robert Langdon is the symbologist protagonist of the Dan Brown novels The Da Vinci Code, Angels and Demons and The Lost Symbol.
  • Lindsey Baskum is an anagram for "Used by Malkins".
  • Claire's aunt is called Lindsey as well.
