Jacob's chamber, where Jacob lived, was hidden within the pedestal of the statue of Taweret.

The chamber is accessed by a hidden stone door in the pedestal of the statue, the location of which is known to Richard. Inside, the chamber comprises a simple stone room with four walls decorated with ancient Egyptian paintings, including one of the Egyptian goddess Isis spreading her wings. In the center, on the floor, is a fire pit where a fire burns. The ceiling supported by four massive columns and has a large oblong opening to provide ventilation for the fire.

In the 19th century, the chamber had a number of pieces of furniture, as well as earthenware jugs and other items. At that time, Jacob was working on a tapestry, even going so far as to make his own thread on a spinning wheel. By 2007, the chamber was more barely furnished, but the tapestry was complete, and hung in a recess on a wall.

In 2007, Ben, acting on orders from the Man in Black, murdered Jacob in the chamber. ("The Incident, Part 1") Later, Bram along with Burnette, Wolfe and Salinger entered the room with weapons and challenged the Man in Black. When Bram shot at him, he transformed into a pillar of black smoke and killed all four men. ("LA X, Part 1")

Jacob told Richard that no one is to enter the chamber without being invited in. ("Ab Aeterno")
