Ivan Andropov was chased down and killed by Sayid in Moscow, Russia. Just before Sayid shoots him, he quickly runs into a house, rushes to a safe where he enters a code and offers Sayid a bribe in exchange for his life, only to be gunned down instead. ("He's Our You")
Andropov is said to be the last of Widmore's people that was a danger to the Oceanic 6.

- Yuri Andropov was the leader of Soviet Union in 1982-1984.
- In the casting call he was decribed as "Ivan, late 30s to late 40s, pudgy, must have a Russian accent, wealthy, upper-class and has lived the good life, but gambling debts have caught up with him. Now he fears for his life from the Russian mob." [1]
