Sun received a surveillance report while staying in a penthouse suite of a Los Angeles hotel in late 2007. The surveillance report included photographs of Benjamin Linus and Jack Shephard together. ("The Little Prince")

The surveillance report was delivered by the bellman in a large envelope that also included a gun concealed in a box of chocolates.

The sender of the surveillance report is not definitively known, but earlier Sun entered in league with Charles Widmore in a plot to kill Benjamin Linus. ("Because You Left")

The surveillance report is partly legible. The report is an altered version of a report from a Lost-unrelated online game; it is therefore doubtful that the Lee Chin or Melissa mentioned in the text will figure prominently in future episodes, unless they are aliases for other characters. The text that can be made out on the screen is somewhat different than the report online. For example, it mentions a surveillance period of "seven days from Tuesday through Thursday", and not "2004".

Claimed I was Melissa f***ing with her, and demanded to know when I mailed her the prints. The last light was extinguished at 2:30 AM. Wednesday Evening Subject came out of the house at 8:15 AM. Set up a camping chair next to the mailbox. And proceeded to pace the front yard until the mail truck arrived at 12:32 P.M. Subject grabbed mail from letter carrier and ran into the house. Photographs are presented in Attachment A. Attachment A is not remarkable to the pending legal clearance. Subject left home in yellow Volkswagen Beetle at 1:05 P.M. and drove directly to the health club. She stayed inside for fifty minutes. I checked the aigle and discovered fully stocked ####### with empty spaces in the #### containing the colors black, green, and red although i cannot positively confirm that the cans were stocked as indicated. I asked the store clerk if the register cap- tured the part number of items purchased but he sais he hadn't scanned the cans of spray paint since he knew the price. Locke's surveillance reports on the Oceanic Six, seen at Lost: The Auction.

In assisting Locke with bringing the Oceanic Six back to the Island, Charles Widmore handed him a black leather portfolio surveillance with reports and photos of the Oceanic Six and Walt, which would help with his goal. ("The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham") Seen at Lost: The Auction, on closer inspection these reports are a variation on above text, mentioning Lee Chin again.
