Emily Linus is a character in the Season 3 episode "The Man Behind the Curtain". She is Ben mother, and presumably Roger's wife (as a wedding ring is visible on Roger's hand). Before she died from complications from childbirth, she asked Roger Linus to name their son Ben. As a child, Ben sees apparitions of Emily in the jungle. The first time he sees her, he tries to run towards her but she calls to him to stop, as she does not want him to cross the sonic barrier.

- She is portayed by Michael Emerson's wife.
- Emily is of Latin origin, and its meaning is "industrious, striving".
- Emily is also the first name of Locke's mother, notable in that Locke will be learning the history of the Others.
