"Early Mourning Mystery" is an orchestral piece on the Season 3 soundtrack. It plays during the season finale.

Scene description

In a flash forward, Jack arrives at Jeremy Bentham's viewing to find that no one else has come.

Jack talks to Danielle about the radio tower till he notices Ben in their path.

Influences

The piece begins with Jack's theme. Its second movement blends the first and second traveling themes. It ends on Ben's theme.

Title significance

The flashforward scene occurs in the morning. At this point, it's still a mystery who Jack is mourning.
