Drive Shaft was a one-hit-wonder band. Charlie Pace played bass (and guitar, on a couple of tracks), sang backup, and was the principal songwriter. Liam Pace, Charlie's brother, was the showman and the lead singer of the band. Although it is a quartet, the two other members have not been identified on the show.
- Drive Shaft's success was shortlived: after only two releases they were reduced to making adverts on the back of the success of You All Everybody, re-penning the lyrics to You All Every Butties for a sell-out diaper commercial.
- In the Pilot, Kate says that she has heard of them, but didn't recognize Charlie right away.
- In House of the Rising Sun, Locke claims to have been a fan, preferring their self-titled debut album to the followup, "Oil Change."
- Hurley is seen listening to Drive Shaft from the $2 bin in Everybody Hates Hugo. Hurley's friend refers to them as "Suck Shaft."

- Liam Pace's stance at the microphone is similar to Liam Gallagher's
Other Trivia
- Charlie was penning a new song for their next album in Fire + Water, but never got to finish it, after Liam left for rehab in Australia. The lyrics were: "Funny now, you finally see me standing here / Funny now, I'm crying in the rain / All alone, I try to be invincible / Together now we can be saved."
- "You All Everybody" heard in the background of an episode of Alias.
