Dr. J. Woodruff was the doctor at Sidney New South Medical who took care of Claire's mother after the car accident. He informed Claire and Lindsey Littleton that she was only alive because of the machines and that an anonymous donor (later identified to be Christian Shephard) had paid for all of her medical expenses.
