Juliet successfully performs a sonogram on Sun. She learns that Sun conceived on the island. Instead of just fearing for the baby's life, Sun also cries for joy, learning that Jin is the father.

The first movement of the piece is a variation on Jin and Sun's theme. The second features the Others' motif.
Title significance[]
The title refers to the fate that befalls all pregnant women on the island. During this scene, Sun learns her baby will likely suffer this fate.
