• He is Daniel Faraday, who filmed the video during time travel (or during his initial timeline).
  • All you need to do is listen to the voice. It's almost a dead give-away.
  • Would explain how he and Charlotte were so knowledgeable about "the tempest" and also the unique time elements of the island. Possibly they both were previous DHARMA members, and they avoided the purge through time travel. This could also explain Charlotte's reaction to the DHARMA symbol she found in the Tunisian Desert (a smile).
• He is the source of Pierre Chang's information regarding the future (George W Bush, Internet, The Purge).
• He is Horace Goodspeed.
• He is Desmond Hume, on another time jaunt.
  • This would not be true because Desmond would not have jumped to 1979 because he had found his Constant, Penny, in the episode "The Constant" causing him to stop jumping through time.
  • Though Penny may have died. Remember Ben is trying to hunt her down.
• Michael Faraday (Daniel's namesake) gave famously popular lectures on The Chemical History of a Candle.
• He is Richard Alpert.
  • relating to the way that the camerman speaks to both Pierre and 'Lara'.
