Mikhail's Return
*Mikhail was badly injured, not killed, by the fence. His injuries were healed by the Island.

** The sonic fence was only built to block the monster, not kill people, but is still strong enough to cause severe injury.

** This was the "other way" of escaping from captivity that Mikhail told Klugh about in 3x11

*Desmond did not let Charlie ask about Mikhail because of something he saw in a flash.

*Mikhail didn't just stumble out of the jungle randomly, but was investigating the parachutist's drop, or the flare.

**As a loyal and dedicated member of the Others (evidenced in his being trusted with outside-world communications) his frantic search for the flares originator is to silence, kidnap or murder any visitor to the island and potential means of the Losties communicating with the outside-world. He stole the phone so as to stop Losties communicating with the outside-world and to repair the Others link to the outside-world. This is why he was particularly interested in the revelation that Naomi was "not alone". He will now search for the other helicopter passengers/pilot.

**Mikhail ran towards Hurley's flare thinking it came from the Others, and hoped to be reunited with them since they fled the compound.

**Mikhail ran towards Hurley's flare expecting it to be Naomi.

**Mikhail was sent by the Others.

*Mikhail doesn't want anyone, even the Others, to know he is still alive.

**Mikhail severed ties with the Others and is only interested in getting off the Island, which is why he wanted the Satellite phone.

*Mikhail is really a reproduction of the Monster and truly is dead. The Monster appears to take on the form, or steal the bodies of dead people who have not been "buried" on the island. (Christian Sheppard, Yemi and now Mikhail)

**Further, Desmond obviously knew he had to "follow the island's rules" because he was being tested by the Monster when he said that he "gave his word" and he had to let Mikhail (the monster) go. (Mikhail (the monster) seemed disappointed by this decision from his reaction, and he was looking directly at Charlie during Desmond's refusal to hostage him.) The monster must have rules that it must follow as well. Ben seemed to have learned as this being possibly a way of protection from the Monster. (Always keep your word.) Ben has always followed these same rules and has proclaimed on a few occasions that he always lives up to his word.

The Crash of 815
*The wreckage found was not the real wreckage.

**Naomi was either lying, confused or was misled.

**Either the remaining Dharma initiative group or the group of Others who aren't on the island reconstructed the plane crash somewhere else to prevent the Island from being found, eliminating the threat of the Island being exposed. However, faking a crash site without any single identifiable body of anybody (of the 300+ people on the plane) would be very difficult to organize and treated as extremely suspicious by authorities.

***The Other's posed as a search party claiming they found the wreckage and there were no survivors.

**** Investigations happen after accidents, and often detailed examination of the wreckage takes place. The Others must have fabricated and fabricated the wreckage of 815 very well, or something else is happening.

***Given the breadth of power the major players seems to have (Paik, Hanso Foundation, Mittelos) it's possible they influenced both the authorities and the media covering the crash.

**** Possibly using computer-generated fake "film footage"

***They powers of the magic box were used.

*Only part of the wreckage was found.

**The fuselage (which was whisked away by the tide in Season 1) was found in the ocean, but at a sufficient distance from the Island to not attract inspection. The fuselage still contained bodies strapped to their seats which were burned in place by the survivors.

*The real wreckage was found, away from the Island

**Parts of Flight 815 were found with no bodies and the authorities just assumed everyone was dead in the ocean with the rest of the plane.

**Naomi is from the future, which leaves plenty of time for the rest of the survivors to die, possibly from natural causes, before they are found. Note that Naomi was searching for Desmond and not the survivors of flight 815, so she had no idea they were together.

*There are actually two "real" wrecks. The system failure which happened when Desmond failed to enter the numbers in time caused the flight to split into two realities. One version of 815 crashed in the outside world and the other crashed on the island.

**Naomi said, "they were all dead", implying that bodies from the "outside world wreck" were found.

*Michael and Walt were found and they lied about the survivors on the Island.

**Michael and Walt never got off the island. The Others lied to them and never let them off

**Michael and Walt got off the island, but did not survive to reach civilization - which Ben knew would happen.

**Michael and Walt got to civilisation, but didn't tell their story for fear of people finding out what he did, as Ben predicted.

*Since everyone has a "reason" to be on the island, the wreck of the losties was a set up by The Others, which means all the survivors were on a fake 815 flight. The REAL 815 was the plane they found, and that accident was caused by The Others.

**Everyone was clearly surprised when the plane came, and Ben asked for the manifest. This could've been Ben pretending he knew it wouldn't happen. Or, if he was actually surprised, the theory is false.

*Another lost commercial jetliner was found where Flight 815 was supposed to have flown before it went off course.

Naomi
* When Mikhail tells Desmond that Naomi said, "Thank you," she's actually saying, "Eu não estou só," which translates to, "I'm not alone." This phrase was clear but not included in the closed captions like the earlier pleas for help - the producers want to make it clear that the other characters (besides Mikhail) didn't know what she really said.

** Naomi was looking for the right language that only Mikhail knew before telling him that there were more. She may have been sent for Desmond, but also for something involving the "others."

*With Naomi claiming she's "not alone", others were with her in the helicopter and made it to the Island.

**This person could be Penny.

**Penny did not come to the island but sent Naomi and someone else to make sure that Desmond made it back safely.

**Naomi's backpack is too empty to support the fact that there was only one person sent. The only food on her was a candy bar and there was no water on her. Either she was very familiar with the Island not to take water or there was at least one other person sent with her.

**Other people sent with her could be the two operators from the season two finale.

Pregnancies
*The Others are using the Losties as test cases as none of the Other women want to risk getting pregnant. Since a pregnancy is tantamount to a death sentence on the Island they are using the "bad" women, like Kate, as opposed to the kidnapped survivors, like Cindy, who are "good."

**The Others set up an environment to manipulate Kate into sleeping with Sawyer in order to impregnate her so that Juliet would have another "test case". Thus the reason Kate and Sawyer were incarcerated together. Sawyer's life was repeatedly threatened, like when Danny held a gun to his head and asked Kate, "Do you love this man?" to drive them together.

* Kate is pregnant, as supported by Juliet's recording mentioning she'll get Kate's "sample" soon.

* Whatever it is that causes all the pregnant Others to die only affects the Others and would not affect Sun (or anyone else from Flight 815 who happened to be pregnant), just the same way as Rose could be cured of her terminal illness but Ben needed surgery.

* The others actually kill the women and use the babies or fetuses for research. Alex knew this and saved Claire from the same fate.

* "Middle of the second trimester" corresponds to 108 days.

Juliet's Motives
*Juliet took Sun's "sample" during the time they spent at the Staff.

*If Juliet is able to prevent Sun's death and carry her baby to term, Ben will complete his end of the agreement and allow Juliet to leave the Island.

**Juliet could be lying about the DOC to make this appear to be the case. If Sun actually conceived before arriving on the island, she will be able to carry her baby to term, like Claire did. By giving a false DOC to make it look like the baby was conceived on the Island, it will appear that juliet has managed to cure whatever causes babies conceived on the Island to die. If this is the case Sun will appear to deliver prematurely, but Juliet could cover for this by faking an early induction,in the knowledge that the baby will be okay due to its longer confinement.

*At the end of Juliet's recording, she stops the tape and says, "I hate you", indicating she's only following Ben's orders as part of a bargain to get her off the island.

**Juliet may be complying with Ben's orders but intends to double cross him.

**Juliet intends to comply with Ben's orders and double cross the Losties, but she actually does care about them. She knows she is being manipulated by Ben but has no choice. She will eventually either be discovered by them and shunned, or she will come forward to Jack, and still become discovered and shunned.

*The reason Juliet killed Danny Pickett without grief was to allow Kate and Sawyer to escape, allowing her research to continue.

Hurley
* Hurley intentionally fired the flare gun. Clearly, he didn't "just happen" to remove the gun from the pack and aim upwards while pressing the trigger.

* Hurley was experiencing different things than Jin, Charlie and Desmond during the rescue of Naomi, triggered by Dave or some voices in his head, also could've seen something that the other characters didn't. That's why he fired the gun and said, "Oops!", thats why he thought he was talking with his mother, and thats why he asked a lot of questions to the wounded Naomi. It is possible that these scenes might be showed from Hurley's point of view in another episode.

* Hurley intentionally revealed the existence of the satellite phone to Mikhail, playing it off as a careless mistake. As we know, Hurley is not entirely guileless. He has manipulated other castaways (most recently Sawyer) and engineered various situations in his favor.

**Hurley has been known to be easily manipulated into revealing too much. Note that Charlie has to signal him to stop.

Jin's Family
*Penny said that with enough money and determination you can find anyone. Sun's father is rich giving her possible resources, such as the dossier on Jin's father, to locate him quickly.

**Korea is a small country steeped in Confucian traditions. The very idea that you could lie about your family history is almost ridiculous. When a woman gets married she is removed from her family's Hojok (family registry) and added to her husband's family. You can use those registration numbers to find out a lot about someone's parents. So finding his father in a small fishing villiage wouldn't be particularly hard.

Satellite Phone
*Sayid will be able to fix the satellite phone

*The phone isn't broken, it just uses different technology from a normal cellular phone (some fiddling will activate it).

*Something on the Island is preventing the phone from working possibly the magnetic field.

**The magnetic field doesn't have that kind of power anymore, not since the Desmond turned the fail-safe key.

*Penny will call to check on Naomi.

*The phone was a decoy for Mikhail, so he could steal something else.

**Mikhail gave up the phone without a fight - it really seemed that he didn't want it very much.

*Hurley intentionally revealed the existence of the satellite phone to Mikhail, playing it off as a careless mistake.

*Mikhail tries to steal the phone so he can locate whoever else was on the helicopter
