The "curly-haired guy" was a nickname given to an unnamed tail section survivor of Oceanic Flight 815, dubbed "the Tailies".
Along with Mr. Eko, the "blonde guy", and "the German tailender", he was one of the first four people to be attacked by the Others, and among the first three kidnapped during the raids orchestrated on the survivors' first night on the Island.
