Christian Shephard left his daughter Claire an inlaid music box in his will. ("The Candidate")
The lawyer told Claire that her father especially wanted her to have the music box. When Claire aks her half brother about this, Jack reveals that he doesn't know the meaning of the bequest. They open the music box and "Catch a Falling Star" plays as their faces reflect in the mirror inside the lid.
