Because of Lost's diverse and large cast and crew, many films and other television shows have had cast and crew crossovers in them. This is similar to the six degrees phenomenon, but the cast and crew are directly connected (one degree), as opposed to being connected by other actors.
Since films are generally large productions, but small compared to television shows, two members of the cast and/or crew are considered significant enough to warrant a crossover. However, for television shows, due to the magnitude of production and significant number of guest actors for many shows, crossovers are only significant if they include four more more members from the cast and crew of Lost.
