Daniel's caretaker appeared in "Confirmed Dead" in Daniel Faraday's flashback. She noticed him crying and asked why he was upset. Her face was never seen during the flashback, instead being shown only from the torso down. Her status as "caretaker" was confirmed by the informative captions at the bottom of the screen during the episode's rerun as an enhanced episode.
