Daniel's caretaker appeared in "Confirmed Dead" in Daniel Faraday's flashback. She noticed him crying and asked why he was upset. Her face was never seen during the flashback. Her status as "caretaker" was confirmed by information pop-ups that appear at the bottom of the screen during an enhanced re-run.
