Cameos are brief appearances by well-known or otherwise significant people in the episodes of Lost, in cases where their fame, significance, or accessibility was a primary factor in being selected to appear. The people are not necessarily actors, and the parts are usually uncredited nonspeaking parts. It is not considered a cameo appearance when actors known for other works are hired for parts in Lost. Most identified cameo appearances in Lost have been by members of the crew.
Cameos on the show
- Archie Ahuna, an Emmy award-winning visual effects supervisor, played the role of Hurley's grandfather Tito Reyes in "Numbers"
- Carlton Cuse appears briefly as a news anchor on television during Jack's first flashforward ("Through the Looking Glass, Part 1") and in "Numbers" as the news reporter who says "That's right Mary-Jo, because this is the sixteenth week without a winner." (Official Lost Podcast/April 30, 2007).
- Mario Perez, the ABC still photographer, in "The Moth".
- Sophie Owens-Bender, daughter of executive producer Jack Bender, appeared as a patient in Santa Rosa Mental Health Institute in "Dave" (Source: Season 2 DVD episode commentary)

- Moumen El Hajji, the caterer for the Lost film crew, portrayed the Tough Moroccan in "The 23rd Psalm"
- Michael Gilday, a set dresser, production assistant and sound utility worker for the Lost film crew, portrayed the nonspeaking background role of Gerald DeGroot in the Swan Orientation Film.
- Courtney Lavigne, Michael Gilday's girlfriend, portrayed Karen DeGroot.
