Brandon was a crewman aboard the freighter Kahana.

He and communications officer Minkowski left the freighter in the Zodiac raft in an attempt to tour the Island, but had to turn back when Brandon started "acting crazy." Although Brandon's exact fate is unknown, Minkowski said that Brandon is now "in a body bag." It is implied that his cause of death was of reasons similar to Minkowski's. ("The Constant")
