The Art department is the part of the film crew that is responsible for the visual look of the show. The department is usually headed by a production designer, who works in pre-production with the creators, director, and cinematographer to create the desired direction of the art design. Production staff includes art directors, a construction department, greensman, painters, sculptors, a props department, a set designer, and set dressers.
