See the Lostpedia theory policy for more details.

Richard Malkin

  • Richard Malkin put Claire on the plane to put her on the Island so the Others could take care of Aaron.
  • Malkin initially tells Claire that she must raise the baby herself; however, it appears that Kate is actually raising Aaron off the Island. This means trouble.

Lineage

  • Aaron is the great-great-grandson of Jacob as he is in the Bible.
    • Either Thomas is the great-grandson of Jacob or Claire and Jack are the great-grandchildren of Jacob.
      • It's possible for Claire to be the great-granddaughter of Jacob without Jacob being Jack's great-grandfather.

Rebirth

Main article: Rebirth/Theories
  • Aaron is Boone reincarnated. Aaron was born minutes after Boone's death.
  • The name Aaron and Boone, when combined gets Aaron Boone, a professional baseball player.

Other theories

  • Aaron is the Antichrist, or something similar, which was why Malkin wanted him to go to the safeguard of good parents.
  • Aaron has similar psychic abilities to Walt. He immediately started crying after Charlie's death in "Through the Looking Glass, Part 1" which suggested that he somehow knew Charlie had died.
    • This is supported by the claims made by the psychic that it is imperative that Aaron should not be raised by another, and the Others' interest in babies born on the Island.
      • Richard Malkin stated that he was a fraud and was paid to tell a pregnant girl to give up her baby.
        • Richard Malkin may have had ulterior motives in asserting that he was a fraud. We really don't know whether he is a genuine psychic or not, but his predictions about Aaron seem to have some significance, and his daughter also appears to have verifiable psychic abilities. Also, he did not accept Claire's money, and may never have expected to receive a cash settlement from the adoptive parents in California if he genuinely knew that 815 would crash.
  • Aaron could have special healing powers. Because of that Kate's mother wants to see him. She hopes to get healed by him.

Future

  • Claire will be forced to stay on the island or die before being rescued, and Aaron will go to Kate. This is the "he" Kate referred to in "Through the Looking Glass, Part 1".
  • Aaron could have health problems that arise after leaving the Island.
  • Aaron may or may not be considered one of the Oceanic Six, since he wasn't really on the plane; he didn't have his own seat.
    • Aaron is one of the six because 6 people came back and the media likely coined the term. They wouldn't say, "The Oceanic 6, plus a baby that was born after the crash." 6 came back- so it's the Oceanic 6.
    • Aaron is not one of the six. At Kate's trial, Jack says 8 people survived the crash and Kate interupts as he is saying "the other two..." So in the crash were the 6 plus 2. This leads one to believe Aaron is not one of the six since Aaron was born after the crash.
  • Kate does not want her mother to see Aaron because Kate knows that Aaron is not truly her "son" nor her mother's "grandson".
