− | **Hurley ha visto Dave |
− | **Jack ha visto suo padre, Christian Shephard <!-- |
− | **Sawyer believes Frank Duckett has manifested himself in multiple forms (Whispers, Boar) |
− | **Kate was talked to by Wayne through wounded Sawyer and has seen a horse. |
− | *Hurley is on the list because he knows the power of the numbers |
− | *Maybe they are on the list because their biological fathers are dead, Ms. Klugh wanted to know the relationship between Michael and Walt. |
− | **Jack's father died, he was found dead in an alley in Sydney and later pronounced dead by the coroner in Sydney. |
− | **Kate killed her biological father |
− | **Sawyer's father shot himself |
− | **Whatever has or hasn't happened to Hurley's father is unknown |
− | *This list seems to encompass the leaders of the group, and the people who know the most about the hatch and what's going on on the island. If the losties are part of a DHARMA experiment, maybe these four have come too close to figuring something out without even realizing it - the Initiative wants to remove them from the group in order that the experiment can safely continue without risk of contamination. |
− | **However, Locke is glaringly absent. |
− | *There is no connection between the four people on the list; The others' only objective is to free fake Henry, and the list exists merely to create further confusion and indecision for Michael. |
− | *Jack, Kate and Sawyer are the ones the Others were really after. Hurley was only on the list so he could be sent back with a message in "Live Together, Die Alone." In the post-finale podcast, the producers confirmed that Hurley was on the list because the Others thought he was the best candidate to deliver the message. |
− | *The people on this list are the biggest threat to The Others, in preventing more kidnappings, they have cleaned out the leadership of the losties in one fell swoop. |
− | ** Not so, if they were removing the biggest threats they would surely included Sayid on the list, and probably Locke and Mr Eko. |
− | ***Perhaps Locke, Mr. Eko and Sayid were too risky to be captured and then held? |
− | * The middle section survivors list was given to Ethan Rom, but since Hurley used the Flight Manifest, the survivors caught him before he could carry out his mission. This is why Mr. Friendly is mad at Ethan in the flashbacks in Maternity Leave. |
− | ** In "Maternity Leave," Mr. Friendly tells Ethan, "You were supposed to make the list and then bring her in." This suggests the lists weren't made in advance. Goodwin may have made the tail-section list. |
− | *** This is supported by the fact only a few were taken on the first night (Goodwin only had a little time to 'assess' them) but 9 more were taken a week later (as Goodwin has had chance to get to know the survivors) according to Ana-Lucia. However, if this theory is true its interesting that the children were taken in the second raid and not straight away, suggesting the Others do not in fact take all children as previously thought, but consider them as they do with adults. |
− | * It seems likely that whoever wrote the Middle-section list given to Michael was unfamiliar with the survivors and used another source (like the flight manifest) to construct it. Otherwise, it is unlikely that they would have used Sawyer and Hurley's full real names. |
− | ** There is one person who calls Hurley and Sawyer by their names (James, and Hugo), and that is Locke. Locke could possibly have drawn up the list for a number of reasons. |
− | *** Jack is the character that keeps leaving Locke out of decisions. |
− | *** Sawyer pulled the Con on Locke, which would have made him very angry. |
− | *** Kate has always been ready to defend Jack, and had also never though much of him. |
− | *** Hurley, is still, just the messenger. |
− | * The handwriting on the second list appears to be similar to the letters Charlie wrote on the bandages on his knuckles. |
− | ** This could ust be a result of one person being the show's "Scribe". |
− | * As Goodwinn mentioned, the Others are taking out some "threats" from the group. |
− | ** Gale knows that Locke isn't a threat after all, after he manipulated him very easily. |
− | ** Locke asks Sawyer about his real name, "James Ford", when they are tracking the Others. The Others are close by and hear this mentioned. This is why the list says "James Ford." |
− | ** The Others are scared of Eko after he easily killed two of them. Gale may have told them that Sayid is too strong to capture, as well. |
− | *The others could have used a second manifest off the plane to make lists. <br> |
