Naveen Andrews est anglais, de descendance indienne. Il a étudié à la Guildhall School of Music and Drama, comme Ewan McGregor et David Thewlis. À 16 ans, il emménage avec son professeur, Geraldine Feakins, avec qui il a maintenant un enfant, Jaisal. Il aime énormément la country.
