La société Ronie Midfew Arts s'est farouchement opposée à ce que Paul Scheer mette en vente des peintures en relation avec LOST.
Après d'incessantes relances Paul Scheer et Ronie Midfew se sont finalement rencontrés et sont arrivés à un accord. D'après le dernier message de Paul publié sur son blog ce déroulement inattendu lui permettra de développer une idée qu'il a eue mais il n'avait pas les moyens jusque là de la réaliser. Une fois l'accord conclu, ils sont allés voir les producteurs de LOST.

Lorsque Paul Scheer a annoncé aux médias la vente d'œuvres inspirées de LOST le 15 août 2009, le site Web de Ronie Midfew Arts affichait le message suivant (affiché lors du survol de la souris) :
We understand that many fans of comedian Paul Scheer and his website DamonCarltonAndAPolarBear.com have been visiting our website and asking numerous questions about our company. As we continue to try and reach Mr. Scheer this weekend, we hope these visitors understand that our problem is not with them, but rather with Mr. Scheer's ignorant belief that he can create his website, or any artworks in a LOST-inspired theme, without any authorization. As we near his announced date of August 15th, the time he claims new original black velvet works will be sale, we can promise you this: this will not happen. Mr. Scheer, if you happen to be reading this, we'd like to repeat this statement. This will not happen.

After I met Mr. scheer, and my two hand selected mediators, we were able to compromise and move forward with an idea that is in both of our interests, while simultaneously celebrating "the fan", which is the end, coincidentally, was a motivation and goal we both shared. Our newly formed team worked together to create what is sure to be an unforgettable 2nd half of 2009. A LOST celebration of art fit for a final season, masterminded by pioneers in this field. We look forward to moving forward with this new relationship, starting tonight at Midnight PST. And for the record Mr. Scheer, my name is pronouced "Ro-knee."
