It was set up for Jack to not see things the way John did. Jack always acted on an impulse without thinking things through. In return Jack had to go back to the island (go back in time) even having Sawyer to check him and with other issues (Juliet’s death) he made such a connection. For someone to be so brilliant he was so short sighted about almost everything. But that was how his character was written.

Sawyer couldn’t die for the simple fact that he did a lot. Sure Ana Lucia wasn’t any better but her passing was just all bad timing.

The final episode when Kate, Claire, Sawyer, etc fly off the island does anyone think they actually “left” yeah we see the plane take off so does Jack. But did they actually end up back home? No way they could have landed somewhere and explained where they came from.
I just don’t understand how anyone couldn’t get the final episode or thought it never made sense. Christian said it as simple as possible. They were all lost and this was the place for them to gather and move on. I watched the show when it was on Netflix and remember when the season finale aired there was an uproar about the ending. Knowing that the Losties died I was still curious about the show and I. COULD. NOT. GET. ENOUGH. OF. IT!!
Ever notice in season 2, Kate always had a strange look whenever Ana Lucia came up but never had much interaction. Just curious what Kate thought of her. Or did both know it was best to stay away from each other? Would have been interesting if those two had bumped heads.
