This video addresses the longstanding debate about which year the Purge took place in, with the ambitious (unattainable?) goal of settling the issue once and for all.
I love Lost and recently I've been trying to log all the events and understand all the mysteries! I know the DHARMA initiative died in the purge when Ben gassed the island but when the incident with the bomb happens in the 70's I'm confused. In the Incident, Juliet sets off the bomb and most of the DHARMA leaves the island or stays. If the DHARMA later died in the purge, then what happened to the group in the 70s? Did they just go into hiding and then come back to the barracks? Or was that a whole new group that Ben killed when he was older in the purge?
This video is aimed at answering a wide range of questions in one (hopefully) satisfying explanation. These questions include:
After the Purge, why did the off-island members of DHARMA, headquartered in Ann Arbor, not try to reclaim the island?
Why does Ben use Sayid as his assassin instead of any other number of triggermen we see in his employ?
Where did Richard and Mittelos Labrotories get its resources?
Did Widmore know about the Lamp Post station, and if so why didn't he use it to return to the island?
How and why were the employees of the Guam facility still being paid to load the food pallets onto drones?
Why does Ben say he can't kill Widmore?
What are the changed rules Ben refers to?

Hey guys! This morning I posted a new video in my Lost YouTube series.
I ran into some technical difficulties recently, so this video is a shorter one (though most people might consider that a good thing ?).
This video is on the numbers, and more specifically the Valenzetti Equation. If you don't already know what this is, then I think you'll find this video very helpful, as everything in this particular installment is completely, canonically true, and doesn't rely on speculation or theorizing.
If you have any thoughts or follow-up questions, please let me know!
Alright so I just joined this fandom because i needed to share this immediately. I’ve been watching lost for years and I’m probably on my 8th binge run through. When Hurley is monching on all the newly discovered food in the hatch, he’s chugging a milk carton with a “MISSING” flyer on the side. Guess who is on the side of that carton.
I NEVER noticed until now. You can faintly make out the last name seeing the two “Ll” in “Lloyd”
